About the position

Our client is a well-known player in the banking/finance/currency sector and operates throughout the Nordic region, with its headquarters located in Gamla Stan, Stockholm. One of the teams at the headquarters is called the financial crime function, and it is to this team that we are now seeking reinforcement in the form of a finance or law student. The team currently consists of six people who collectively are responsible for AML work across the Nordic region.

This is a consulting assignment where you will be employed by Academic Work and will work on behalf of our client. We are looking for someone who can start the assignment part-time in May and then work full-time from July until the end of August. To start the assignment, our client will conduct a background check and a credit report, and you will receive information about this later in the process.

Responsibilities

• Review and manage alerts based on a risk-based approach
• Analyze unusual and suspicious transactions and activities of customers

We are looking for someone who

• Is studying finance or law at a university and has at least 1 year left of studies
• Has excellent knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form, as both languages will be used in the role

It is a merit if you have

• Previous experience in AML
• Previous experience in banking
