About the Role

The business area Customer Nordic develops and sells electricity and energy solutions to consumers and businesses in Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway, currently serving approximately 1.1 million customers.

Our department, Strategy & Development, plays a central and important role in the Nordic organization. We are responsible for three main areas:

2. We continuously develop Customer Nordic's overall strategy and ensure that the business delivers according to the strategic plan.
3. Climate Coach:
4. We support our customers with advice on energy and climate issues and how they can reduce their climate impact.
5. Regulatory Issues:
6. We are now looking for a new colleague in the role of Policy Advisor.

As a Policy Advisor, you will have a role where you can directly influence both our business and our ambition to enable a fossil-free society. You will be part of an experienced and competent team with good cohesion, and you will have close contact with management within Customer Nordic. You will also have great opportunities to influence how we develop our business moving forward. Strategy & Development is located at Vattenfall's headquarters in Solna.

As a Policy Advisor, you will support Customer Nordic's work with regulatory issues. Your main responsibilities include:

• Monitoring the environment by identifying and reporting new or updated regulatory proposals and analyzing how these affect our business.
• Formulating positions and preparing materials to influence regulatory initiatives.
• Coordinating and writing responses to consultations.
• Participating in external groups with authorities and industry organizations.
• Planning and conducting advocacy activities.

You will also support the business units within Customer Nordic on regulatory matters.

This means:

• Assisting in the planning and implementation of new and updated regulations.
• Providing ongoing advice on compliance with regulations.
• Identifying business opportunities that may arise in connection with new or amended regulations.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in law, engineering, economics, or another relevant field
• Knowledge of the Nordic electricity market, particularly regarding electricity trading and balancing responsibility issues
• At least 5 years of experience working with electricity market issues.
• Experience working with regulatory matters
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Knowledge of regulations regarding demand flexibility such as NCDR and BSP/BRP and proficiency in any of the other Nordic languages

As a person

You enjoy continuously developing your understanding of the electricity market and its future developments and keeping yourself at the forefront of competence regarding various future market changes. This involves continuously familiarizing yourself with new regulatory initiatives as well as leading internal working groups to analyze the implications of these initiatives. You are driven, social, and structured.
