At the office of Living and Working, we ensure that new ideas are born, developed, and implemented within culture, business, and leisure. We listen, guide, engage, shape meeting places and stories. We contribute to the public meeting the private in creative collaboration between the municipality, associations, and companies. All to create a meaningful everyday life for those who live and work in Nykvarn.

Youth in Nykvarn (UiN) is our collective name for activities and events aimed at children and youth in Nykvarn. UiN is a mobile operation, which means our youth leaders work outreach and create activities in places where children and youth are. It can be anything from sports in Furuborghallen or outdoors, to art workshops and movie screenings in the library. This summer, the mobile operation of Youth in Nykvarn will travel around in a camper van to visit different places in Nykvarn and create activities for children and youth. One day they might show up at Hökmossbadet and another day they might be at Taxinge Castle. There, you, as a summer employee with us, will get to join and create content.

With the help of Youth in Nykvarn's social media, we can reach out and maintain a dialogue with the municipality's children and youth as well as their parents. This way, we get more people to sign up for and participate in various activities and events in the municipality.

As a summer employee for the communications department, you will create content for Youth in Nykvarn's social media in the form of videos/reels for TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram. Together with the municipality's youth leaders, you will visit different places in Nykvarn and film yourself, the location, and your colleagues. You will both be in front of the camera and talk about various activities happening for children and youth in the municipality during the summer, as well as film others. It is beneficial if you have an interest in film and social media and enjoy being in front of the camera and speaking.

We hope you are curious to learn more about photography, filming, and working with social media. You may also get to do simple video editing, write text for posts, and publish posts on various social media, all with the support of our youth leaders for Youth in Nykvarn and the municipality's communications department.

Nykvarn Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and we consider it an advantage if you speak Finnish.

You need to send a short video of yourself where you tell us about who you are as a person and why you are suitable for the job (max 1 minute). Send the video to [email protected] and write "Summer Job Communication".

If you are under 18, you need to have consent from your guardian to be included in photos/videos that will be shown on the municipality's social media. Therefore, it is important that you have talked to your guardian before applying for the job. A consent agreement will be signed by the guardian if you are the one who gets the job.

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys taking photos and filming
• Likes to be in front of the camera and talk
• Wants to learn more about photography, film, and social media
• Is in high school (aged 16-18)

Preferred:

• Has experience being in films and on social media
• Has experience filming and/or editing reels for social media such as TikTok, Snapchat, and Instagram
• Is attending high school with a focus on media, photography, film, and/or graphic design or similar

Interviews may be conducted on an ongoing basis.
