Swed Handling is Sweden's leading chemical distributor. The business consists of the sale of liquid and solid chemicals to various sectors including industry, municipalities, and color wholesalers. The company policy is to deliver the right products, at the right time with a high level of service and flexibility. Their headquarters and warehouse are located in Norrköping, and they also have offices and warehouses in Gävle and Björketorp, as well as sales offices in Malmö; they are now part of Telko Group Oy.
DC Talents is now assisting our client in Norrköping in searching for an important key player who wants to step into the role of Controller. The position is full-time with a start date as agreed, and you will be based at the client's office in Norrköping.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In the role of Controller, you will be the right hand of the CFO with a primary focus on controlling and business support, where you will drive and develop the company's business controlling function. The business includes inventory, production, logistics with turbo trucks, real estate, currency management, and several geographical units. The role also includes support and development of the finance department's ongoing work, tax reporting, and financial closing/reporting.
You will work in a relatively small group with a family business feel, despite international ownership, which provides short decision-making paths and a great opportunity to influence. The role involves close collaboration with all departments and a clear business-oriented focus.
Main responsibilities/tasks:
- Analysis, follow-up, forecasting, and budgeting work
- Development and enhancement of reports and decision-making materials, e.g., through Power BI
- Support the business through dialogue and collaboration across departmental boundaries
- Be proactive and involved in IT and system-related projects from an accounting perspective
- Drive your own improvement and efficiency projects within finance and IT, including initiatives related to digitization and AI
- Support and participate in the development of the finance department's ongoing work, tax reporting, and financial closing/reporting with the aim of achieving better efficiency and internal control.

YOUR PROFILE
We are looking for someone who is an experienced economist with a background in accounting/financial closing/reporting and inventory/production. We see that you have previous experience as a Controller, and if you also have experience as an Auditor, this is highly meritorious. Ideally, you have a post-secondary degree as a business economist, but previous work experience may suffice if other requirements are met.
To succeed in the role, we believe you have a strong commitment to IT systems, experience in driving projects, and an interest in streamlining financial processes. Furthermore, you are accustomed to working in Excel and with financial analysis, and you have experience working in business systems. Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
