Apply for an internship at the European Parliament

Do you want to be part of the effort to promote more leftist politics in Europe together with the Left Party's parliamentarians Jonas Sjöstedt and Hanna Gedin, as well as a creative and professional office with ten employees? Then we welcome your application for an internship with us this fall!

As an intern with the Left Party's delegation, you will closely learn what legislative work in the European Parliament entails and thus also learn how the entire EU machinery functions. You will also have the opportunity to participate in all the work that the Left Party in the EU does to highlight and push for a system-changing green transition across Europe where polluters pay and ordinary people have better lives.

We are looking for someone studying communication or journalism who wants to contribute to making the Left Party's politics in the European Parliament impactful and ensuring that our parliamentarians are visible and heard in Swedish homes and in the Swedish debate. This can involve everything from writing opinion articles, preparing talking points and materials, to creating videos for social media such as Instagram and TikTok. It is advantageous if you can take photos, edit videos, or have experience in producing texts. We work as a cohesive office, so you will also have the opportunity to assist in the entire office's work.

The internship lasts for a maximum of 5 months, starting on an agreed date in September 2026. There may also be a possibility of extension for four months. As an intern, you will receive compensation of 1,500 euros, and it is also possible to apply for an Erasmus scholarship for internships through your university. Additionally, there is a 300 euro compensation for travel to and from Sweden. The workplace is in Brussels.
