HR Specialists Wanted at the Swedish Migration Agency
At the Swedish Migration Agency, we are working on one of the major societal issues of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 people here, and we have an unusually important job!
We are now looking for two HR specialists with experience and expertise in labor law.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and mobile organization alongside knowledgeable colleagues. Our core values of courage, empathy, and clarity guide us in our daily work. The work is performed both independently and in collaboration with your colleagues in the HR department. The tasks are complex and evaluative in nature, with frequent opportunities for development.
With us, you will work in an independent and rewarding role with varied assignments and a large network of contacts. You will belong to the employer unit responsible for labor law and work environment issues. The unit is part of the HR department and currently consists of eleven employees, a unit manager, and a negotiation manager. We collaborate, support each other, and develop together, but we also set high standards for what we do and deliver.
Main Responsibilities
You are expected to contribute your expertise and knowledge across the entire labor law area, but you will have the opportunity to deepen your knowledge in one or two subject areas. Your tasks will include:
- Providing support to colleagues in the HR department on labor law issues
- Developing supportive and guiding internal documents and guidelines in the labor law area based on organizational needs
- Contributing to strengthening the agency's employer policy
- Negotiating collective agreements and labor law disputes
- Monitoring and participating in changes to labor law regulations and assisting the Swedish Migration Agency in adapting operations to such changes
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with good collaboration skills who enjoys working together with others to achieve common goals. You listen, communicate, and are constructive in your interactions. Furthermore, you are confident and stable with high personal maturity. You communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, and you adapt your communication to the recipient to ensure that the message is conveyed. At the same time, you are structured, take responsibility for your tasks, and drive your work forward. With a strong analytical ability and a problem-solving approach, you find it easy to understand complex issues and translate them into practical solutions.
In our work as civil servants, there are also high demands for judgment, integrity, and a strong awareness of security and confidentiality. You understand the responsibilities that come with working in a government agency.
You who apply have:
- A university degree of at least 180 credits in human resources/HR or another relevant academic education combined with applicable and relevant experience for the role
- Several years of relevant work experience in labor law issues
- Knowledge and experience in working with agreements and collective bargaining issues
- Experience negotiating with trade unions
- Excellent communication skills and express yourself very well in Swedish, both spoken and written
It is advantageous if you have:
- Experience working in the public sector
- Experience in project management
- Experience developing digital tools/systems within HR
- Experience with working time issues, preferably from a 24/7 operation
- Experience in wage formation and salary reviews
- Experience working with complex individual cases from a security perspective
- Knowledge and experience in working with transition issues in public operations
