Academicum is looking for a mentor/job coach in Umeå – do you want to make a real difference?

We are now seeking an engaged and business-minded job coach who wants to help people find employment. You will be based at our office in Umeå, but it may also involve working with participants in other locations.

About the role

As a career coach with us, you will primarily work within the service Rusta och matcha, but it may also involve working with Korta vägen.

The work is goal-oriented and involves helping participants towards jobs or studies by:

• Coaching conversations, interview training, and creating and revising documents in the application process.
• Identifying and establishing contact with relevant employers for internships and employment. Together with the participant, making calls to express interest in potential internships or jobs.
• Maintaining and expanding your network among companies in Västerbotten.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who is a natural relationship builder with high energy and a strong drive. You are a person who sees opportunities where others see obstacles and who enjoys working independently and efficiently.

We require the following:

• A minimum of 180 ECTS credits (university or college).
• Interest and knowledge in transition work in the form of sector switching/career change and/or recruitment.
• At least two years of full-time work experience.
• You are competitive, results-oriented, and enjoy making cold contacts with companies.
• You express yourself well in both speech and writing and have excellent IT skills.

As a person, you are:

• Innovative and solution-oriented in your approach.
• Responsive and skilled at building trust with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Structured and efficient in your time management.

Information about the position:

The position is a consultancy role on an hourly basis, approximately part-time or half-time, with good opportunities for growth over time.

We prefer that you have your own business and possibly other assignments alongside, but it is also possible to work hourly with us. Since you will be the face of the company, we want you to be accustomed to handling and acting professionally in all situations.
