Accountant for the Joint Accounting Unit

We are looking for someone who wants to work with year-end closing, accounting, VAT, and taxes.

The position is located at the Joint Accounting Unit, which consists of 7 employees. The unit's main task is to manage ongoing accounting, interim closings, annual closings, tax and VAT management for the municipal-owned companies. You will report to the accounting manager.

Your responsibilities as an accountant

As an accountant, you will have primary responsibility for the legal accounting, VAT, and taxes in the companies you work with. The employment is with Övik Energi, but you will work with one or more other municipal companies.

Your role as an accountant includes the following tasks:

• Ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and incoming and outgoing payments.
• Prepare monthly closings, quarterly closings, annual closings, annual reports, and income tax returns.
• System administration regarding supplier invoice management in Proceedo, annual report systems, and financial systems, etc.
• Report and pay taxes and VAT and keep updated on regulations in these areas as well as in the accounting field.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who has experience in independently preparing interim and annual closings in medium-sized limited companies. Mandatory qualifications include:

• Higher education in economics, preferably a Master of Science in Business Administration, or equivalent relevant work experience in accounting.
• Experience in managing monthly and annual closings in medium-sized companies.
• Experience in preparing VAT and tax declarations in medium-sized companies.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Communicates fluently in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you:

• Have work experience from the accounting/auditing industry.
