Job Responsibilities
Are you a driven and development-oriented leisure assistant who wants to help start a new open leisure activity in Guldheden? Then we think you should apply for this unique position where you will have the chance to shape youth work in the area! We are looking for two leisure assistants for our new operation.
In the city district of Centrum, we have several open leisure activities, including in Majorna and Kålltorp. All our open leisure activities work to contribute to a rich and meaningful leisure time for young people.
Now we are ramping up our work in another area of Centrum, namely Guldheden-Landala, with the goal of creating a meeting place for young people and increasing presence in the area.
Your initial tasks will be to get to know the area together with our area coordinator. You will work on getting to know and establishing contacts, primarily with the youth in the area, but also with civil society, schools, associations, and potential partners, etc., to create a network in the area that enables a successful establishment of an operation based on the needs present.
Currently, we do not have a fixed location to conduct activities, but this will be relevant in the long term, and you will be a driving force in this work as well. How the leisure activity will look is not yet determined but will be shaped over time together with the youth based on their visions, needs, and wishes, as well as the opportunities available in the area.
As the operation is established, your assignment will transition to a more conventional position as a leisure assistant, where you will work to enable a rich and meaningful leisure time for the target group based on what the operation offers.

Qualifications
To apply for the position, you need to have a leisure leader education or another equivalent post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. We also see it as a requirement that you have documented experience of working in an open operation and that you can demonstrate good results in coaching youth in various influence and/or participation processes.
We see it as a requirement that you have experience working proactively, and you are skilled at establishing contacts, both with youth and others.
If you have previous experience in creating and building new operations together with youth, we consider it an advantage.
We see it as advantageous if you have knowledge and experience in systematically working with quality development, as well as experience in working with a norm-conscious approach.
We also consider it beneficial if you have a good ability for conflict management and experience in working with low-arousal methods.
The work requires that you have good experience in youth work and that you feel confident in promoting work. You take initiative, start activities, and achieve results whether you work alone or together with others. You have a strong commitment and enthusiasm for your work.
You are creative. You come up with new ideas and perspectives at work and to solve problems. You are curious and encourage dialogue and questions, and you can see more than one possible solution. Your creativity can be put into practice and leads to results.
You are good at collaboration and work well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible.
You are flexible and can change how you work when things change. You can quickly change your perspective and approach and see opportunities in changes.
Finally, you are communicative and convey information and ideas clearly both orally and in writing. You ensure that your message gets across. You adapt your communication according to the recipient, target group, and situation.
