Personal Assistant for a Man in a Wheelchair - Borås

We are now looking for a dedicated and caring personal assistant for a man in a wheelchair just outside Borås. As an assistant, you will be an important part of the client's daily life and provide support in various areas.

In this role, you will assist the client with personal hygiene, meals, other daily activities, and help with answering the phone and managing communication with external parties. You will be the client's extended arms and legs, and your presence will make a real difference in his life. Just as important as intervening when needed is having respect and understanding when it's time to step back and allow the client time for himself or with family.

Experience/Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a personal assistant or in healthcare is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Empathetic and patient, with the ability to listen and provide support.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to the client's needs and wishes.
• Handle lifting.

Personal Qualities:

We are looking for someone who is empathetic, attentive, and has the ability to create a safe and trusting relationship with the client. You are thorough and reliable, with the ability to work independently and take initiative when needed. It is important that you are compliant and respectful of the client's integrity and wishes. You should have no issues with shoulders or back as some heavy lifting is involved in the work.

A driver's license and car are required as public transport cannot reach the client.

The position is between 60-70 percent, with opportunities to work extra shifts beyond this. Working hours are scheduled between 07:00-15:00 and 15:00-23:00, Monday-Sunday.
