Description: The Child and Family Unit 1 belongs to the area of IFO (Individual and Family Care) and consists of two investigation teams. The unit employs a total of 15 social workers, two team leaders, one administrator, and one unit manager.

The city has well-developed home-based interventions that work with change processes. The unit consciously works with an inclusive approach and is HBTQ+ certified. We also have a strong focus on children's participation in our interactions.

We offer a thoughtful introduction and good opportunities for professional development, including through the Career Journey. We provide close methodological guidance with team leaders and process guidance with external supervisors. All new employees also receive a mentor. As an employee in Trollhättan's social services, there is also the possibility of up to four recovery days per year. Our unit has strong engagement and good cohesion among employees. We have several team leaders and social workers with extensive and solid experience in child welfare work. We share a common understanding in our cases and have high demands for quality and legal certainty. Your tasks
Your main task is to handle cases according to SoL and LVU focusing on children and youth aged 0-18 years, their families, and networks. You will investigate and assess the resources and needs of children and families, as well as decide on and follow up various interventions. We work from a conscious child perspective and base our handling on BBIC.

Qualifications
You should be a social worker or social pedagogue with a degree from a university. You have good knowledge of child development, and it is natural for you to be engaged with children in distress, seeing the child's network as an important resource in the change process. You must enjoy documentation and be able to document in a legally secure manner and with good quality. You should have experience in authority exercise within social child and youth care and in working with BBIC.

Personal qualities
We expect you to be an empathetic and secure person with good personal maturity and that you contribute to a good work environment. Important qualities include good collaboration skills, resilience to stress, and the ability to work independently. You should have a good ability for reflection and analysis and express yourself well in both speech and writing, as the job involves a significant amount of documentation and administration. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Employment form
Permanent 100% with start date 2026-06-01 or by agreement. Interviews may take place continuously during the recruitment period. A valid extract from the criminal record must be presented to the employer before an employment offer.
