JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a support assistant, you work to support the resident in their daily life by creating a comprehensible, manageable, and meaningful existence, as well as by working preventively and in a structured manner. You provide professional support and strengthen each individual's self-esteem and belief in their own abilities - all work is based on the resident's individually established implementation plan.
You are involved in establishing and/or maintaining social networks. Your role also involves supporting residents in developing their communication skills and sense of belonging, as well as providing support in social activities, both individually and in groups. The goal is to support full participation in society based on each person's individual wishes.
You provide support in all common daily tasks such as planning, personal hygiene, clothing care, laundry, cleaning, nutrition, cooking, shopping, finances, medication, social training, culture, and leisure.
You belong to a team of support assistants and support pedagogues. You work with social documentation in the documentation system Treserva and continuously follow up and revise the implementation plans. We work with operationally adapted and flexible schedules. The needs are continuously adjusted based on the needs of the operation, which means that you need to be prepared to work during the day, evening, weekend, and on-call.
We value your ideas and engagement, and together we create conditions for development and an independent life for our residents.
Does this sound like something for you? Apply today and become part of our fantastic team!
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who:
- Has training as a support assistant, nursing assistant, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
- Has experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in a residential setting with special services.
- Has experience with challenging behaviors.
- Has knowledge of low-arousal approaches (LAB), clear pedagogical methods, and AAC.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.
It is an advantage if you have a driver's license and experience working with Timecare and Treserva.
As a support assistant, you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You have an open and positive attitude as you have the resident's needs as the starting point for your actions. You have the interest, will, and ability to help others, and you strive to present solutions. In your work, it is important that you act independently based on what the situation requires without needing support from others. It is also important that you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. You understand the common mission, act accordingly, and contribute to the whole.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
