Family Law Secretary Wanted at Kungälv Municipality

Kungälv Municipality is looking for you who want to make a difference! We need professional and motivated staff to deliver welfare services of high quality. Here, engagement and professional service go hand in hand while you help influence people's everyday lives and society at large. A good workplace culture and support for your personal development are important to us. Your contribution matters!

Description

We are now looking for a family law secretary for a six-month temporary position, as one of our colleagues will be on leave.

Do you want to be part of our team and work with something both important and developing? Submit your application today!

The Family Law department has been part of the unit for promoting family support and protection since January 2026. The unit also includes family counseling, the family center Fyren, the family house Klippan, Violence in close relationships, and the Crisis Reception.

Our main focus is to meet people at an early stage and offer easily accessible, preventive, and supportive measures. The Family Law department's mission is, in addition to preventive work, also to work with authority exercise. We actively work with digital solutions for residents and employees.

Organizationally, we belong to the sector of Security and Support, Individual and Family Care.

Responsibilities

The Family Law department is looking for you who have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a responsive manner. In addition to exciting and varied tasks, the work involves a pleasant work environment characterized by well-established routines, good cooperation among colleagues, and strong team spirit.

As a family law secretary, you will be responsible for conducting investigations and providing information at the request of the district court regarding custody, residence, and visitation issues. You will also handle paternity and parenthood, enforce visitation support following court decisions, manage cases within international and national adoption, lead collaboration discussions, and be responsible for telephone counseling.

The workgroup has strong commitment, high competence, and extensive experience with a focus on development work. To promote legal security and quality, co-handling is used where family law secretaries work in pairs in most processes. The workgroup has close and easily accessible management by the first social worker.

You will receive individually tailored introduction and professional development as well as external supervision.

Your main workplace is in the municipality's City Hall with an office solution based on an activity-based working method. This way, we can enhance efficiency and support communication and collaboration. We have an established system for the possibility of partly working remotely if desired.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a degree in social work, experience in family law work, and a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing. Our working method means that we take joint responsibility for our cases, which requires both good collaboration skills and the ability to work independently. To succeed in the role of social worker in family law, you need to have a good ability to see situations from different perspectives and to handle conflicts. This means being responsive to the needs of both children and parents and being able to adapt your communication depending on who you meet. Performing qualitative and legally secure work must be important to you. The work is characterized by balancing timelines based on specified deadlines and preventive work, which requires both flexibility and the ability to structure your work.

A valid driver's license is also a requirement.

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have experience in authority exercise within IFO and are accustomed to conversations with children. Additional merit is if you have necessary family law further education and have worked with the method "Whole Child".

Experience working with e-services and the journal system Treserva.
