We are looking for an experienced social worker in child and youth services for a municipality in Västra Götaland. Your work makes a real difference — every day, for those who need it most.

👉 Your mission

• You investigate and assess the resources and needs of children and families, from preliminary assessments to follow-up on interventions.
• You handle cases according to SoL and LVU and make decisions about and follow up on interventions.
• You manage incoming reports and conduct conversations with children, youth, and families.
• You investigate foster homes as needed and document according to BBIC.
• You collaborate closely with colleagues and the senior social worker for support in daily work.

✅ We are looking for you who

Must-have requirements:

• Degree in social work
• Driving license B
• At least four years of experience in public authority work within child and youth services, with active work in the field in the last two years
• Well acquainted with BBIC, SoL, LVU, administrative law, and confidentiality law, as well as experience with assessment tools related to domestic violence
• Good ability to document, compile investigations, and formulate decisions in the field
• Skilled in conversations with children and in responding to clients with risk use, addiction, or dependency
• Computer literate and able to quickly learn operational systems such as Treserva, Magna Cura, or Combine
• Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Meritorious:

• Previous consulting assignments within social services in a similar role
• Experience from several different municipalities or organizations within child and youth services

📍 Scope

Full-time, 100%. The assignment is performed on-site at the organization in Västra Götaland. Travel may occur in the position, and a driving license is required.

📅 Assignment period

2026-04-01 to 2026-08-31, with the possibility of monthly extensions for up to an additional 12 months.
