Habilitation is specialized health care for adults with autism, intellectual disabilities, movement disabilities, or acquired brain injuries. We provide health-promoting and therapeutic interventions based on each individual's unique needs and circumstances, and we have specialist knowledge about how disabilities can affect daily life, health, and development.

Description

In your role as a social worker at Habilitation Borås, you will provide specialized interventions to individuals over 18 years old with congenital or early-acquired permanent disabilities that cause significant difficulties in daily life.

The specialization includes both breadth and in-depth knowledge in several areas. At Habilitation, we work in interdisciplinary teams with medical and psychosocial expertise. The catchment area for Habilitation Borås includes the municipalities in Södra Älvsborg, and the workplace is located in Borås. The job involves travel to our reception in Alingsås.

We are now looking for a social worker for one of our teams at Habilitation in Borås. The position is a permanent employment at 100%.

Responsibilities

As a social worker with us, you are an important team member. You will primarily meet individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. The working methods are investigative and therapeutic. Interventions are primarily provided to the patient but may also include consultative interventions to important people in the patient's environment. Collaboration and networking with other healthcare providers involved in the patient's daily life is also a frequent task. We provide evidence-based care, which means we also develop new working methods. Interventions are provided individually or in groups during defined treatment periods. The work primarily takes place in the organization's premises but may also be provided in the patient's environment if necessary.

About You

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker. Experience working with patients who belong to the target groups of Habilitation and knowledge of disabilities and their consequences in daily life is an advantage. It is meritorious if you are a licensed health and medical care social worker and have experience working in interdisciplinary teams. You have a clear patient focus that you apply in investigations and treatments, in interdisciplinary work, and in collaboration with others. You have a good ability to reflect on your work in dialogue with colleagues and management and feel secure in making your own professional assessments. You have a positive attitude towards collaboration and sharing knowledge and experiences. Additionally, you possess personal qualities such as good organizational and structuring skills in your patient work, flexibility, independence, and good teamwork abilities. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. A driver's license is required as the job involves travel.
