Do you want to be part of our team? We are now looking for 2 support assistants for our group homes and 3 support assistants for our daily activities!

As staff with us, you will be part of an engaged team, working to implement decisions within LSS and providing tenants with support and care in all daily situations.

You will focus on the individual's needs, desires, and wishes, utilizing the resources and abilities each individual has.

Responsibilities

As a support assistant in our group homes, it is important to motivate individuals to participate in activities, which will be a key part of your daily work. The individual's daily life with tasks such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, leisure activities, and more is a natural part of your work to assist in a motivating and pedagogical manner. Low-arousal responses are a central concept in your assignment.

In daily activities, as a support assistant, it is important to motivate individuals to participate in activities, which will be a key part of your daily work. Some of the duties in daily activities are linked to group homes. This includes tasks in the individual's daily life such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, leisure activities, walks, and more.

You are keen to work in a structured manner with clear pedagogy and social documentation. It is essential to collaborate professionally with various occupational categories and the network surrounding the individual. At the workplace, you will assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and personal hygiene care.

Qualifications

The work requires that you have a good approach, good collaboration skills, are open to changes, have a reflective attitude, and work according to agreed goals.

As a person, you should be clear in your body language, have the ability to handle the physical demands of the job, and be solution-oriented. The work requires good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written. Computer skills are important for pedagogical AAC and documentation.

Requirements

• Approved high school education from the Child & Leisure Program, Health and Care Program with a focus on disabilities, or trained support assistant.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities in group homes and/or daily activities.
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
• Good knowledge of computer use.
• Driver's license (B), for some positions you will also need access to a car to get to work.

Meritorious

• Support pedagogue education, ongoing or completed.
• Experience and knowledge of working with clear pedagogy, challenging behavior, and alternative communication (AAC) such as sign language support, pictures, and social stories.

• You must be able to provide at least two managerial references from your most recent employers. If you have previously worked for Kungälv Municipality, internal references will be taken.
• If you have previously been employed by Kungälv Municipality, we will contact your former manager to obtain internal references as part of our recruitment process.
• For this position, a background check will be conducted according to the law. Therefore, before employment can be finalized, an extract from the criminal record and suspicion register must be presented, and the extract must not be older than six months.
