Job Responsibilities
Do you want to contribute in a qualified pedagogical role where quality, participation, and self-determination are in focus? We are looking for an experienced and secure support pedagogue for a centrally located unit in Gothenburg with the group homes Lillkullen, Lillkullegatan 23, and Gula Huset.
Our unit caters to individuals with acquired brain injuries, intellectual disabilities, and mental health issues. We work person-centered with the goal of enabling tenants to live as independently as possible and to influence their daily lives.
As a support pedagogue, you have a central role in the organization with specific responsibility for development, quality, and user focus. You utilize your advanced pedagogical skills to ensure that the support provided to each individual is of high quality and is carried out in accordance with applicable implementation plans. Part of the role involves quality assurance of social documentation and following up on implementation plans, as well as contributing a holistic perspective through environmental monitoring and development work.
The role combines development work with direct involvement in the organization, giving you good insight into daily operations and creating conditions for close and sustainable quality work. If needed, you also provide practical support in tenants' homes, for example, with personal care, cooking, and medication management.
You are a pedagogical role model and guide other support pedagogues as well as support assistants and support staff in user-centered work. In close collaboration with the unit manager and other support pedagogues, you plan and lead operational meetings, drive change initiatives, and ensure that the systematic quality work is maintained at a high level.
We offer a meaningful job where you make a difference every day, opportunities for professional development, and a dedicated team with present leadership. The organization is centrally located with good transportation links.
Working hours are primarily daytime, Monday to Friday. Evening and weekend shifts may occur for introductory purposes. Scheduling is done via Time Care Planning. The position is full-time (38.25 hours/week).
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has education as a support or social pedagogue, or a post-secondary specialization in the disability field that includes at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or a combination that corresponds to at least four semesters of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for individuals with disabilities. The education should include relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care.
To document, you need to master the Swedish language in both spoken and written form, which requires passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a second language 1, or equivalent. Those who do not meet the qualification requirements in Swedish 1 or Swedish as a second language 1 may be offered to take a language test through the testing provider Educateit.
You have documented experience in a guiding role and in method development. You have extensive experience working within support and service for individuals with disabilities and knowledge of various target groups in the field, such as individuals with acquired brain injuries, intellectual and/or mental disabilities.
You have good knowledge of social documentation. Good computer skills and knowledge of low-arousal responses (LAB) are advantageous for the position.
We seek someone with a pedagogical approach, experience in a supportive or leading role, and good collaboration skills. You are a communicative, adaptable, and relationship-building person with a professional demeanor, even in stressful situations. You are also structured, collaborative, and have a strong commitment to the development of the organization.
