Support Assistants Wanted!

We are looking for two support assistants who are passionate about working with children and young people!

The short-term activity provides leisure activities after school and during school holidays, as well as relief for families during evenings and weekends in the form of short-term care.

With us, children and young people of different ages and with various disabilities spend time.

Your tasks include providing support and service based on our participants' individual implementation plans, as well as offering meaningful leisure activities. The work is active and varied, with a strong focus on movement and social interaction. We are often outdoors and engage in activities that promote community, independence, and joy. The work also includes providing care and performing nursing tasks.

Your assignment also includes being involved in developing the operation and offering a safe and stimulating environment for our participants. You will join a stable workgroup driven by commitment and development, where we have fun together and stay for a long time. Working hours are scheduled for afternoons, evenings, and every other weekend.

After the summer, we will take the next step and move into completely new premises in Öjersjö.

Qualifications

You have relevant education such as support assistant, leisure leader training, preschool teacher, nursing assistant, or other education in the field that the employer assesses as equivalent (for example, university credits in the field). You can also be a student in one of the above. We want you to have previous experience working with low-arousal responses, challenging behavior, and clear pedagogical methods. Additionally, experience working with children and youth in the field is an advantage.

As a person, you are responsible and enjoy being part of a team. You have a pedagogical and motivating approach and work with the user in focus. You have a low-arousal and methodical working style and are self-reflective. You feel engaged in your work and believe that development is important. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability and previous experience in the field.

Good to Know

Provided that you meet the requirements for the position, it is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at the B1 level according to the Council of Europe’s standards before the interview. Please note that the process will be interrupted if the language test is not passed. You will need to identify yourself with Bank-ID to take the language test.

Your New Workplace

We are about 850 employees working in various locations around the municipality, consisting of support assistants, nursing assistants, nurses, support pedagogues, assistance officers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, care supervisors, and more. Short-term care for children and young people is an intervention according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS).
