Within the unit for investigation and protection, we work with qualified reception, investigation, and follow-up tasks according to current legislation. BBiC (Children's Needs in Focus) and Signs of Safety permeate our work.

The unit for investigation and protection consists of a reception, two investigation groups, a high-intensity investigation group, and the social services' domestic violence group. Our unit is characterized by respect, safety, courage, curiosity, and joy at work! We share this with our colleagues in the preventive unit and the family support and foster care unit, enabling close and inspiring collaboration.

Your Mission

Our high-intensity investigation group meets children, youth, and families who return to social services, where there has been previous concern and insufficient change has occurred, and where there is a need to try something new. The working method involves intensive and close collaboration with families and their networks. The work entails a combination of investigative work and active change work.

As a Senior Social Worker, your primary responsibility is to lead and distribute work and serve as an easily accessible support, both individually and in groups. You represent cases in the board and administrative court. You drive processes forward by being structured, curious, and courageous, and you support your group to be the same. You provide methodological support and are responsible for the introduction of newly hired colleagues together with the unit manager and colleagues.

You have a coordinating role and work for good collaboration with external and internal operations. You plan, monitor the environment, and develop our operations at the unit level as well as at the operational area level, together with employees, fellow senior social workers, and unit managers. You base your work on current guidelines and legislation and ensure that the work is conducted legally, of good quality, and resource-efficient.

Requirements for the Position

Mandatory - You have a degree in social work
- B driver's license
- Experience in public authority within social services

Desirable - Training in leadership, BBiC, Signs of Safety, evidence-based methods, MI, ViNR, or honor-related violence or oppression
- Experience in social work with children and youth

For employment in a public authority role, a background check and extract from the police criminal record as well as academic transcripts from a university or college will be conducted.
