Your Role

We at Flight Data and Navigation work to develop and deliver features for the navigation system in the JAS 39 Gripen. Among other things, we monitor the aircraft's altitude, speed, position, attitude, and movement. We work in cross-functional teams that handle both system and software development, so with us, you can follow a feature all the way from study to finished product.

We place great importance on your personal qualities, and the role can be shaped according to who you are. There are great opportunities for you to develop and plenty of new roles to grow into. Our technical area is versatile and has a lot of collaboration with other technical areas, flight test engineers, and pilots, as well as contacts with both national and international suppliers and customers.

Some examples of tasks, depending on what suits you and which direction you choose

• Collection, analysis, and definition of requirements
• Systematization of flight-critical capabilities
• Programming and testing of flight-critical software
• Leadership of teams or smaller projects
• Testing and verification of system functions in simulators, rigs, and support during flight tests

Your Profile

• Engineering degree from a university/college
• A sense of order and tidiness, which is necessary as the work largely consists of flight-critical systems
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
• As a person, you are curious and have good collaboration and initiative skills

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
