Support Assistants for LSS Housing in Furulund

We are looking for support assistants for our LSS housing located in the picturesque Furulund.

Here you will thrive if you enjoy being active, working purposefully with young adults, and surrounding yourself with colleagues who have low experience, high competence, and a strong drive forward.

As a support assistant with us, you will provide our residents with individually tailored support in their daily lives and encourage and assist in leisure activities. The work involves responding to the needs and wishes of the residents, which lays the foundation for the individually tailored support in the user's everyday life. Your work contributes to our users achieving as independent a life as possible. Care work is part of your tasks, as well as quality assurance in the form of social documentation, implementation plans, and routines. No day is the same - thinking outside the box and planning anew is part of the everyday routine.

You will collaborate with the residents, their relatives/guardians, and staff in other operations. In this work, communication, structure, participation, forward momentum, meaningful everyday life, independence, and cooperation are key words.

The job suits you if you can work days, evenings, weekends, and on-call.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a support assistant education, vocational qualification from the care and nursing program, education in social/pedagogical work, or equivalent education deemed comparable by the employer. You have at least one year of experience working with individuals with intellectual, mental, and/or neuropsychiatric disabilities.

Experience working as a support assistant within LSS operations or in another role within LSS housing and support services is an advantage, as well as knowledge of sign language support, training in low-arousal approaches (e.g., Studio 3), and knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

As a person, you are positive, curious, solution-focused, calm, and self-assured. You have a respectful demeanor and good collaboration skills, and can work both independently and in a team. Having a pedagogical approach, focusing on the user, and contributing to a positive work environment comes naturally to you. You are flexible and attentive in your working style. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability. Warm welcome to your application!

Good to know

It is mandatory to undergo a digital language test to ensure competence at level B1 according to the Council of Europe’s standards before the interview.
