At Båtsman’s children and youth residence, children and young people aged 13-17 can live according to LSS 9:8. We are now looking for a support assistant for a permanent position. It is desirable that you have experience with children and young people within the LSS target group.

As a support assistant, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the children and young people and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. You will support, guide, and motivate the children and young people to give them the best conditions to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks will also include documenting and planning based on implementation plans.

Schedule with both on-call and possible night shifts based on the needs of the children and young people.

About you

You are proactive and responsive to the needs of the children and young people.

We are looking for someone with creativity, courage, and commitment to help us build a service that best benefits our children and young people.

We want you to have:

• A minimum qualification of a nursing assistant
• Preferably some years of experience in SoL or LSS operations and good knowledge of the target group.
• Fluent in speaking and writing Swedish
• Good computer skills.
• A driving license

It is an advantage if you have knowledge and experience of clarifying pedagogy and low-arousal approaches.

At Båtsman, we will be working with the operational support Boet. Experience with it is a plus.

Hemma Omsorg was started in the spring of 2022. We currently have three operations, all with permits according to LSS 9:8. We who work at Hemma Omsorg have extensive experience in the field, and our ambition is to run Sweden's best children and youth residences!
