The Lund Tax Academy is the collective of tax law researchers operating within the shared research and teaching environment in tax law, which is shared between the Faculty of Law and the Department of Business Law, School of Economics and Management, at Lund University.
To stimulate and strengthen the tax law environment in the Øresund region, the academy invites discussion on current tax law issues.
Requirements
According to Chapter 5, Section 10 of the Higher Education Ordinance, only those who are admitted to undergraduate or advanced level education can be employed as teaching assistants.

Job responsibilities
As a teaching assistant, your tasks may vary, but you must study at the faculty where the work will be conducted, and the tasks should provide insight into the academic world.
In the role of teaching assistant, alongside certain coordinating and administrative tasks, you will work within the teaching and research environment as a student teacher. Teaching occurs in both half and full classes during the fourth semester of the law program, distributed over five teaching sessions. At these times, you, together with your fellow student teachers and in agreement with the teaching team in tax law, will structure and lead review exercises. The position is aimed at those who have a strong interest in tax law and have demonstrated good knowledge in the subject. Your main tasks are to:
- as a student teacher lead support teaching in the form of review exercises and open question sessions during the fourth semester of the law program,
- administer and arrange the ongoing seminar activities at the Lund Tax Academy,
- assist in the internal and external communication of the research environment (such as administration of the research and collaboration environment's websites),
- manage email lists, mailings, and reporting,
- continuously work with the administration within the research environment's projects, and
- assist visiting researchers.
Qualifications
Eligible for employment as a teaching assistant is someone who is actively studying at the undergraduate and advanced level at the relevant faculty and who has not yet graduated.
We are looking for someone with an interest in tax law and who has successfully completed introductory and/or advanced courses in the subject as part of the law program at the Faculty of Law, Lund University. We also appreciate applicants who have an interest in the research being conducted within the environment. Pedagogical ability, willingness to collaborate, and social skills are prerequisites, as well as good language skills in Swedish and English.
Meritorious for the position are:
- pedagogical ability,
- good communication skills,
- good organizational skills,
- completed courses in law,
- experience in event planning.
Conditions
The employment is temporary from 2026-08-31 to 2027-01-17 and is for 20% of full-time.
The employment must not negatively affect the teaching assistant's studies and cannot be combined with other employment. Regulations regarding educational employment as a teaching assistant can be found in the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 2017:284), Chapter 5, Sections 8-12.
