About Ystad Hamn Logistik AB

Since 2000, Ystad Hamn Logistik AB has been responsible for port operations in Ystad, which includes all operational management, maintenance, and development. The port is one of Sweden's largest ports with daily ferry traffic to Poland and Bornholm. It is the third largest ferry passenger port and has about 35 employees. The port is to be perceived as a natural gateway for ferry traffic and aims to develop in close cooperation with customers and other stakeholders.

We are looking for a Business Developer for one of Sweden's largest ports.

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a business developer who is passionate about the commercial aspect and has the ability to navigate complex networks from local to European corridors. As part of our team, you will have the chance to work with leading players in business and politics and make a noticeable difference for Sweden's import and export opportunities based on Ystad Port.

In your new role, you will:

  • Identify and implement new business opportunities.

  • Strengthen, maintain, and develop our existing customers and partners.

  • Actively follow up on inquiries.

  • Take an active role in PR and lobbying to strengthen the port's position and influence key decision-makers.

  • Represent Ystad Hamn Logistik at trade fairs, conferences, and various industry organizations.

  • Be part of a dynamic team where collaboration is key to success.

  • Manage follow-up and reporting of projects and ensure that all initiatives meet our high expectations.

Who are you?

  • A trustworthy person who is used to taking initiative and enjoys creating new contacts while nurturing and developing long-term relationships.

  • Have a strong interest in creating business opportunities and then translating them into practice.

  • Experience in business development and sales.

  • Someone with diplomacy in their blood who acts with humility and communicative clarity.

  • You enjoy switching between different arenas and are good at adapting to the situation.

  • Experience in infrastructure is a plus, but we value your personal qualities and your ability to drive business forward above all.

  • We believe you have experience from similar positions but not necessarily from government and municipalities.

  • You are comfortable traveling for work and working flexibly – both in the office and in the field.

  • You master English effortlessly, and if you also speak Polish and/or German, it is a significant advantage.
