We are looking for an experienced communicator to provide communication support to the executive management, colleagues at the diocesan office, and in the parishes of the diocese.

About the position

The role of communicator at the diocesan office is a broad and varied generalist role that includes both quick operational handling and more long-term strategic work.

You will be part of a communication team that works together to promote the parishes of the diocese with support in communication issues such as training initiatives, workshops, and consulting. The position also includes creating and publishing content in the form of text, images, and video material on the intranet, external web, social channels, and print.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• a university degree in media/communication or journalism, or equivalent experience deemed relevant by the employer
• several years of experience in strategic communication work across various channels, especially social media and web
• excellent ability to express yourself in speech and writing, adapting content and tone depending on target groups and channels
• good knowledge of Adobe's graphic, image, and video editing programs, web publishing tools, social media, and the Microsoft 365 environment
• a valid driver's license (B)

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in communication work within a parish or pastorate in the Church of Sweden.

The Diocese of Lund

The Diocese of Lund is one of the thirteen dioceses of the Church of Sweden. The bishop since 2014 is Johan Tyrberg. The diocese, which includes Skåne and Blekinge, has 147 parishes and more than 500 churches. The task of the diocesan office is to support and stimulate parish activities, as well as manage the diocese's land, forests, and funds. The highest decision-making body is the diocesan council. The diocesan board and property committee are the executive bodies. Through the ecclesiastical court, it is examined whether decisions are made in accordance with the church order.
