Temporary Administrator/Career Advisor

Tora Vega Folk High School is Sweden's oldest folk high school. In addition to the headquarters in Åkarp, we operate in Lund and Landskrona. We are a flat organization with short decision-making paths, close collaboration, and a shared focus on our students' development.

About the Role

You will be part of our administrative team of eight, where you will play a central role for Tora Vega Folk High School's students, applicants, colleagues, and partners.

The role is a combination of qualified administration and career guidance. The work content varies throughout the year but includes administrative tasks such as admissions, study planning, and student administration. It also involves participating in the reception, holding information sessions, study visits, and maintaining contacts/responsibilities both within and outside our organization with various partners, including the Employment Service. You are also expected to have ongoing collaboration with different professionals. In addition to administrative tasks, the role includes conversations with students/applicants to facilitate further studies or entry into the labor market. Proactive work to counteract exclusion and promote lifelong learning is important.

Competence in both administration and career guidance is available in-house, and you will always have colleagues to consult with.

The position is based in Åkarp, but work may occasionally occur in Lund or Landskrona, for example, during meetings or fairs. The position is a temporary role where you will be employed as a consultant with Adecco. Initially, the temporary position will last until August/September with the possibility of extension. Start date is immediate upon agreement.

About You

As a person, you have a service-oriented, relationship-building, and professional approach where you focus on the individual. You can communicate easily in both spoken and written forms in an informative and pedagogical manner. You have good planning skills and can shift pace and priorities when needed. Furthermore, you are solution-oriented, proactive, and collaborate well with those around you.

You have previously worked in an administrative role, and we see it as an advantage if you have prior experience working in folk education or have good knowledge in the field of education and/or labor market issues. It is meritorious if you have a degree in career guidance. You have good digital competence and the ability to familiarize yourself with new systems; it is a plus if you have previously worked in Google Workspace, SchoolSoft, and Microsoft 365.
