About the Workplace
The Examination Department is a centralized unit that coordinates and staffs exam sessions for the university's students. The department handles approximately 100,000 exam seats annually across four different locations. The department also administers the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test (Högskoleprovet) for southwestern Skåne at 8 locations.
The Examination Department consists of 31 employees, and the administration is located at Ideon, Beta 6. The department is part of the LU Building section, which has approximately 77 employees. The section also includes Local Coordination, Local Planning, and Safety & Environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities
In this role, you have a very important mission and contribute to the university's exercise of authority regarding student examinations. Together with our exam invigilators, you ensure that examinations are conducted legally in accordance with university regulations and that candidates take exams under equivalent, orderly, and secure conditions.
50% of the coordinator assignment involves coordinating exam sessions, such as scheduling invigilators and preparing exams for students with pedagogical support. The position also requires you to act as the responsible exam invigilator in the exam hall. Exams are primarily held on weekdays during the day, but evenings and weekends also occur, taking place in locations at Annexet, Sparta, Victoriastadion, and Beta 6 (Ideon).
Examinations take place continuously during the terms, and some periods are more intensive than others. This means you need to be stress-tolerant and have the ability to work in a highly changing environment. We appreciate people with grit who can roll up their sleeves and step in when needed.
50% of the coordinator assignment involves coordinating the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test. The test is held twice a year, meaning some periods are more intensive than others. Lund University is responsible for the test at 8 locations in southwestern Skåne (Lund, Trelleborg, Ängelholm, Eslöv, Helsingborg, Malmö, Ystad, and Landskrona).
The position involves weekend work during test sessions where you may need to drive to the locations where the test is held. During test sessions, physical tasks are also included, such as driving mail carts and carrying boxes with test materials. You also need to visit the test sites regularly throughout the year, and a driver's license is a requirement.
The work includes receiving registrations during the registration period, evaluating certificates, managing contacts with caretakers for existing test locations, and finding new test locations. Recruitment of test supervisors, packing materials, and delivering materials to test sites are also part of the job. It is important that you take responsibility for all parts to be carried out and meet set deadlines.
Examinations:
- Scheduling of invigilators in the exam hall.
- Coordination of exam sessions.
- Coordination and preparation of exams for students with pedagogical support.
- Acting as the responsible exam invigilator in the hall during exams.
- Other practical and administrative tasks occurring at the Examination Department.
Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test:
- Handling registrations for the test.
- Assessing writers' need for special support.
- Recruiting and training staff (test leaders, assistant test leaders, main test leaders, and material coordinators. Approximately 700–900 people per session).
- Being the contact person for registered participants (approximately 900–1200 participants per session) and answering questions via email and phone.
- Coordination of work with materials for all exam halls.
- Other practical and administrative tasks occurring for the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.
Qualifications
Requirements for employment are:
- Completed post-secondary education.
- Good ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience with exam work.
- Experience working with the Swedish Scholastic Aptitude Test.
- High service awareness.
- Class B Driver's License.
- Good knowledge of Swedish and English, spoken and written.

Other Information
The employment is permanent with a start date of May 1, 2026, or by agreement. A probationary period may apply.
