JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to build information security for real, where your work makes a concrete difference for society, citizens, and colleagues?

With us, you have the opportunity to take a comprehensive approach to information security in a municipality that invests in safe digitalization, good working conditions, and long-term development. We are now looking for an information security coordinator who wants to help shape structures, working methods, and culture rather than just managing them.

You will be part of the secretariat department within the municipal management administration, where we work with municipality-wide quality, development, and governance issues as well as crime prevention, crisis preparedness, civil defense, security protection, and sustainable development. The department also includes board administration, archives, and legal matters.

Your mission is to lead and develop the municipality's information security work from strategy to practical reality. An important part of the role is to drive the work related to NIS2 and the cybersecurity law and to ensure that the municipality has the right structures, working methods, and competencies in place.

In practice, this means that you:

  • Create and manage governing documents and working methods within information security
  • Lead the implementation of incident reporting and strengthen the municipality's ability to handle cyber threats
  • Plan and conduct training initiatives for different target groups
  • Monitor the environment and translate new requirements into operational solutions
  • Collaborate closely with the digitalization strategist, security protection, crisis preparedness, lawyer, DSO, and operations
  • Review governing documents and provide support to operations regarding GDPR

The role spans strategic, tactical, and operational levels and suits you who want to think long-term while also making a concrete difference in everyday life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant higher education, for example in information security, security, law, IT, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
  • Experience working with information security, IT security, or related security areas.
  • Good knowledge of applicable regulations such as NIS2, the cybersecurity law, and GDPR.

To thrive and succeed in the role, you are communicative, structured, and have good analytical skills. You can balance security requirements with needs and have the ability to translate regulations and requirements into practical, value-creating solutions that work in the operations. You express yourself very well in Swedish in both speech and writing and can create engagement and understanding for information security in practice.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from the public sector or municipal operations
  • Knowledge of signal protection
  • Experience in continuity-related work

We place great importance on personal suitability.

With us, you will have a central and developing role in a socially important operation, where information security is an enabler for safe digitalization and sustainable development. We care about a good working environment and well-being and offer a flexible workplace with the possibility of remote work, skills development, wellness grants, and vacation exchange.

We believe in trust, collaboration, and that people do their best when they thrive and feel safe. Do you want to help create a safe and sustainable digital future together with us? We look forward to your application.
