We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our journey towards a better everyday life, a stronger future, and increased quality of life for the residents of Perstorp. With us, you will find a workplace where joy, engagement, and development are an obvious part of everyday life. We believe in thinking innovatively, working smart, and continuously improving together.

Perstorp Municipality is located in the heart of northern Skåne, in the dynamic Öresund region – one of Sweden's most expansive areas. Here, the closeness and safety of a small town combine with proximity to both nature experiences and larger cities. The municipality has approximately 7,300 residents and around 560 employees who together drive development forward.

We are proud of our strong business community and our focus on public health, sustainability, and quality of life. Here, there are good opportunities to influence, develop, and make a difference every day.

Description

Since January 1, 2019, the municipalities of Bjuv, Klippan, Perstorp, and Åstorp have been collaborating through a joint guardianship board.

Perstorp is the host municipality and holds both the chairmanship and the guardianship unit, which is responsible for the entire collaboration. The board and the unit handle the statutory tasks assigned to the guardian in the cooperating municipalities.

The board is a judicial authority in the first instance, and its main task is to supervise the activities of guardians, legal representatives, and trustees. There are high demands for the operation to be conducted in a legally secure and professional manner. The operation handles approximately 1,000 cases annually.

Job Responsibilities

In the role of guardianship officer, you will work independently to investigate incoming cases and make decisions according to delegation regarding, for example, temporary guardianships and changes of representatives. As a guardianship officer, you will present cases to the board and represent the guardian before the court and other authorities according to Chapter 12, Section 14 of the Code of Judicial Procedure. The position includes reviewing financial reports and more varied tasks such as case management, project-specific work, and recruiting representatives.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained lawyer (270 credits), trained social worker (210 credits), economist (at least 180 credits), or education that the employer assesses as equivalent. It is advantageous if you have experience in:

  • Guardianship case management, authority exercise, or other legal application
  • Working in a politically governed organization.
  • System experience from the Wärna Go operational system.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a colleague who thrives in a job where the pace is often high and where the workday does not always look the same. You need to be able to take responsibility for your tasks, make your own decisions, and drive cases independently without someone standing beside you.

This is a job where not everything will always be completed before the end of the day. You will have cases that run over time, reminders that remain, and tasks that need to be prioritized based on what comes into the authority. Structure exists and is necessary, but it must be flexible; the workday is largely governed by the inflow. To thrive, you need to feel comfortable having several things ongoing simultaneously and be able to end the day with some uncertainty, without losing control or calm.

We are looking for someone who is meticulous, stress-resistant, and flexible – not just because it sounds good in an ad, but because the job actually requires it. In return, you will receive variety, responsibility, and trust. Your colleagues will support you, but you are expected to perform your work independently. We offer introductory training and ongoing professional development in legislation and the field.

Since the work involves collaboration both internally and externally, we place high demands on your collaborative and pedagogical skills. You are proficient in digital systems and express yourself well in both speech and writing. As we are a smaller unit, we highly value your personal suitability.

Other

Recruitment is ongoing, so please submit your application as soon as possible. Candidates who are called for an interview and proceed will be required to complete a work test. A probationary employment may be applied.

If you are called for an interview, we would like you to be able to substantiate your qualifications with certificates and grades. You will also need to present a valid driver's license.

To work with us, you must show a valid passport, national ID card, or personal certificate along with an identity document at the job interview. If you are a citizen of a country outside the EU/EES or Switzerland, you will also need to bring a work permit.

We apply individual and equitable salary setting based on experience, competence, and market conditions with a salary range of 40,000 - 45,000 SEK per month with a salary level for 2026.

In preparation for the recruitment, we have taken a position on recruitment channels and publication channels, which is why we kindly decline all contact with sellers in this matter.
