Your Role with Us

As a payroll consultant, you provide support to the municipality's managers and employees in personnel and payroll-related matters. Together with colleagues in HR Payroll, you work methodically with quality assurance of the payroll process. You check documentation and provide guidance to managers based on applicable regulations and collective agreements. You will have contact with and handle cases for external authorities and organizations such as the Swedish Tax Agency, the Social Insurance Agency, and Afa Insurance.

As our unit is in an exciting development phase with increased digitalization and automation of personnel information and payroll processes, part of your work will consist of improving and simplifying routines and working methods within the entire HR Payroll area.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for someone who has a high school diploma or payroll consultant training and current experience in payroll processing within public administration. You need to have experience working with large personnel and payroll systems, and we prefer that you have worked in Heroma, which is our payroll system. We assume you have experience applying laws and agreements within the HR field, and it is an advantage if you have knowledge of municipal collective agreements.

For us, it is important to hire the right person; therefore, your personal qualities are significant for success in the role. As more and more aspects of the payroll process are automated and robotized, the consultative role becomes prominent. It is therefore important that you are passionate about service and have a pedagogical and consultative approach.

As you collaborate with both internal and external actors in your role, you need to have good communication skills and be adept at creating and maintaining good relationships.
