We are: Bjuv, Båstad, Helsingborg, Höganäs, Klippan, Landskrona, Perstorp, Svalöv, Åstorp, Ängelholm, and Örkelljunga. Our cooperation also includes municipal companies.

Job Description

Do you want to use analysis and understanding of the environment to develop the role and relevance of culture for the city's residents?

Have you considered the role of culture in the climate transition, the connections between demographic development and the cultural offerings chosen by children and young people, or how urban planning issues interact with culture? We are looking for someone who wants to understand relationships, connect data, and see how this affects the cultural administration's mission to create an attractive and relevant cultural offering. With us, you will have the opportunity to use and develop your analytical skills while contributing to making more informed decisions.

In this role, you will work closely with the management groups of the administration and support our operations in producing structured decision-making materials, analyzing data, and reasoning about the consequences and effects of different choices. You will follow trends and developments in society and connect them to understanding the role of culture in the present and future.

Your mission includes contributing methodological support in the analysis work and developing how analysis is used as a natural part of management strategy work, governance, and decision-making – with a particular focus on the conditions and societal role of culture. For example, we want you to build up working methods and structures for target group and environmental analyses and how they can contribute to a well-founded decision-making basis. The role will also include the opportunity to conduct investigative assignments and work on strategic operational issues.

The work carried out in the role should not only contribute to our own development but also be used as knowledge and analysis support for other administrations within Familjen Helsingborg, for example, as inspiration for joint working methods, analysis models, or decision support.

With us, you will have the opportunity to put your knowledge into practice, work on real issues at the intersection of culture, society, and governance, and contribute to long-term development.

For the trainee program, we are looking for candidates who are considered to have particularly good prospects for taking on leading or strategic specialist roles in the future. The trainee program provides a very good insight into how municipal operations work, and you will gain a fantastic network for your future career.

As a trainee, you will work on qualified assignments in your home municipality and gain personal development through the program's development days. You will also work on and drive a project together with your trainee colleagues. During the employment year, about 25% of your working hours will be dedicated to development days through the program. The trainee program lasts for 12 months, starting on September 1, 2026. Which municipality your employment is assigned to will be communicated before the final interviews.

In our trainee program, we offer:

  • Stimulating work tasks
  • Personal development
  • An invaluable professional network
  • Knowledge of municipal operations
  • Team training
  • Training in project management, etc.
  • Broadened experience in another municipality
  • Mentorship

Qualifications

You who are applying are a recent graduate, with a maximum of two years since obtaining your university degree. You have some work experience but a strong commitment to social issues. We are looking for someone with a degree in political science, cultural and social analysis, or another equivalent education that the employer assesses as comparable.

As the development program in the trainee program is in Swedish, you need to be proficient in the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.

You are a community developer who likes to question and come up with new ideas. You have the ability to drive development and change efforts. To succeed in your assignment, you also need to have good collaboration skills, be communicative in interactions, speech, and writing, and have the ability to work both independently and in a group.

We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities. To be accepted into the trainee program, you must have obtained your university degree before the program starts on September 1, 2026.
