This is your mission
In the role of payroll officer, you and your colleagues are responsible for the entire payroll process from collecting and ensuring the quality of data to payroll payments and other personnel administration. You are an important support to the agency's other employees in questions about time reporting and self-reporting as well as interpretation and application of agreements and legislation. The tasks also include handling staff with irregular working hours, travel expenses, reimbursements, and employee benefits, as well as reporting to other authorities such as the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and SPV.
As a payroll officer, you collaborate with other parts of the agency, such as HR and finance. Helping to provide information to new employees is also part of the mission.
Your placement is at the headquarters in Solna and the work is performed on-site, which means that you do not have the opportunity to work remotely.
These are the qualifications we are looking for in you
Only those who meet the following requirements will be considered for the position.
Requirements:
- Education in payroll management or other education or work experience that the Security Police considers relevant
- At least three years of recent experience working with the entire payroll process as a primary task
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
The position requires Swedish citizenship.
As an applicant, you may also have competencies that add breadth and complementary perspectives. If you can contribute with one or more of the following, it is meritorious:
- Experience working in Heroma payroll
- Experience reading and interpreting collective agreements
- Experience working with complex compensation models (OB, on-call, standby, etc.)
- Experience working in personnel administrative systems
- Experience working in the public sector

Employment conditions and benefits
Employment with the Security Police means placement in a security class that requires Swedish citizenship. For employment, a satisfactory result in the security screening with a background check is also required, conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
This is a permanent position that begins with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Employment also entails an obligation to be placed in wartime.
