The Education Administration in the City of Stockholm is Sweden's largest administration and is responsible for preschool classes, primary schools, adapted primary and secondary schools, school childcare, and secondary schools.
The administration has approximately 16,000 employees and encompasses over 150 municipal schools.
Your role
Are you passionate about creating the best conditions for children and youth in schools? Then the role of coordinator for the controller team might be for you!
You will be part of the finance unit, which is responsible for overall financial monitoring, budget and year-end work, accounting, and other financial administrative issues. The unit consists of 25 employees.

Your main tasks:
- provide qualified, consultative support to schools and central administration.
- be responsible for budget and follow-up work, analyses, action plans, and competency-enhancing measures directed towards schools.
- coordinate the team's work by distributing assignments, ensuring priorities, and creating structure.
- act as a link between the team and the unit manager: follow up on work, provide feedback on status, and identify development needs.
- represent the team in various forums and inform about work processes, changes, and priorities
- contribute to operational development, improved processes, and effective system support.
- inform about work processes, changes, and priorities and conduct environmental monitoring within your area.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- a university degree with an economic focus, preferably a Master of Science in Business and Economics or Public Administration
- several years of relevant experience working as a controller
- experience working in financial systems for larger organizations, such as Unit4
- very good knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of the Office suite
- good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
It is an advantage if you have experience with:
- Hypergene
- work within municipal operations or other politically governed organizations
- school economics

You are comfortable in building relationships and enjoy a role with many social contacts. You find it easy to create trust, are smooth in your relationships, and have a good ability to build and maintain long-term collaborations.
You have good collaboration skills and communicate clearly and attentively with colleagues and the organization. The role also requires you to be self-driven, analytical, and structured, with the ability to plan, prioritize, and drive work forward both independently and together with others.
