Medical Secretary for Psychiatry Nordväst

Do you want to work in an organization where your skills make a difference and where you become an important part of the whole? We are now looking for two trained medical secretaries for our administrative unit in Solna within Psychiatry Nordväst.

We receive patients with anxiety disorders, affective disorders, personality disorders, and NPF. The organization also has a Mobile Acute and Consultation Team (MAK). Here, various professions work closely together, and the administrative unit plays a central role in creating structure, quality, and good service for both patients and employees.

Psychiatry Nordväst has several outpatient clinics located at Karolinska Hospital in Solna, Visionsgatan 70 A. This summer, we are moving to newly renovated and modern premises at S:t Eriksgatan 121.

Job Responsibilities

As a medical secretary with us, you will be part of an engaged team with fellow secretaries and administrators. You will work variably with journal writing in Take Care, KVÅ registration, referral and waiting list management, telephone service, as well as reception and cash work as needed. You provide administrative support to clinicians and contribute your professional expertise where it is needed. The role involves personal responsibility and good opportunities for development based on interest and experience. Possibility for remote work one day a week may be offered.

Qualifications and Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is a trained medical secretary. Experience from psychiatric work is an advantage, as well as knowledge of KVÅ registration, referral management, and care guarantee. It is a plus if you have experience with Raindance, invoicing, and the personnel system Heroma. Good IT skills are an important prerequisite for the role.

As a person, you are flexible, unpretentious, and service-oriented. You have excellent collaboration skills while enjoying working independently and taking responsibility for your tasks. You feel comfortable in patient contacts, both at the reception and via telephone, and actively contribute to a positive and professional work environment. Personal suitability is highly valued.

Employment Type and Start Date

The positions are permanent full-time positions, Monday to Friday (39:30 hours per week). A six-month probationary period may apply. Start date is according to agreement.

For patient-facing work within the Stockholm County Healthcare Area:

  • background checks are applied before hiring decisions according to SLSO's overarching guidelines for background checks during employment.
  • employees who will have patient contact must undergo a pre-employment medical examination, according to current directives, which is done through occupational health services before employment.
  • good knowledge of the Swedish language corresponding to level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) is required, in addition to Swedish professional certification. The same requirements apply to non-licensed personnel with patient contact.
