Romaskolan
Romaskolan is centrally located in Gotland, within comfortable commuting distance from Visby with very good bus connections.
The school has approximately 360 students in grades F-9. The Roma school area also includes the school units Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre, all of which are F-6 schools. Students from these schools are bused to Romaskolan for instruction in several subjects. We are now looking for a licensed teacher in physical education and health for grades 1-9 at Romaskolan.
Your Responsibilities
As a physical education teacher for grades 1-9, you will:
- Plan, implement, and follow up on instruction in physical education and health.
- Create a safe, inspiring, and inclusive learning environment where students develop based on their individual circumstances.
- Build relationships and lead groups clearly, both indoors and outdoors.
- Collaborate with colleagues in teams and subject groups to create a holistic approach to students' learning.
- Conduct assessments and documentation in accordance with governing documents.
- Actively contribute to the school's safety work and development initiatives.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is licensed in physical education and health or is awaiting their license. If you also have qualifications in additional subjects, this is an advantage.
You are passionate about building good relationships and see the value of a safe, motivating, and inclusive learning environment. You find it easy to collaborate – both with students and colleagues – and use your leadership to strengthen community, joy of movement, and development. Together with other staff, you contribute to a positive climate where all students have the opportunity to succeed.
As a person, we see that you are engaged and proactive in guiding students toward good results and sustainable skills. You work clearly and structured in your pedagogical assignment, have good planning skills, and a genuine interest in developing the operations.
Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
