Licensed Teacher in Swedish/Social Studies at Romaskolan

In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Romaskolan

Romaskolan is centrally located in Gotland, within comfortable commuting distance from Visby, with very good bus connections.

The school has approximately 350 students in grades F-9. The Roma school area also includes the schools Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre, all of which are F-6 schools. Students from these schools are transported to Romaskolan for instruction in various subjects.

Your Responsibilities

Romaskolan's grades 7-9 will have 8 classes and a special education group (Studio 1) this fall. You will primarily teach in our Studio 1. You will work closely with special educators, social educators, and the principal. The high school has a teaching team that facilitates consensus on teaching, approaches, decision-making, and joint activities. All teachers also have extensive knowledge of all high school students as they teach in several of the school's classes. You will conduct structured teaching based on Lgr22, follow up and analyze your teaching and students' results.

You are a clear leader in the classroom and are willing to try new ways to constantly strive to improve your teaching. You work with high expectations and see good relationships with students and guardians as the natural starting point for your work. In collaboration with colleagues, you create engaging learning environments based on clear and low-arousal leadership. You take responsibility for and participate in relevant professional development to grow in your profession.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is a licensed teacher in Swedish/Social Studies, or will soon receive a license in these subjects. If you also have qualifications in additional subjects, that is a merit.

You have a positive outlook and believe in each individual's ability to develop and learn. You are unpretentious and solution-focused and understand the benefits of working in a team and learning together. You have a good ability to create relationships with students, parents, and your colleagues.

You have the ability to work independently and purposefully based on Lgr22. You can collaborate with the school's student health team if needed. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Selection for interviews will be ongoing, so do not wait to apply.
