Endre School

Welcome to us at Endre School! Endre School is a pleasant school located just over 10 minutes from Visby where knowledge, safety, study peace, and dedicated staff are a common thread throughout the operations.

At the school, we have about 80 students located in large spacious premises next to a big and lovely schoolyard adjacent to the forest. The proximity to the forest and nature is actively utilized for learning, play, and movement. Endre School and leisure activities are a setting where staff work closely together, contributing to a positive and pleasant work environment. Here, we have an open atmosphere where everyone's ideas and opinions are a valuable addition to the operations.

The greatness of the school is that everyone knows each other well, which creates security and allows us to give students that little extra. Endre School is part of the Roma school area along with the schools Roma, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Vänge. Students from these schools are transported to Romaskolan and Dalhem School for instruction in several subjects.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of teacher for leisure home/leisure pedagogue, your primary task will be to work in the leisure home but also in the classroom. At certain times, you will work independently with parts of the group based on planning from the responsible teacher. The position involves close collaboration with leisure colleagues and classroom teachers. You will be part of a team with leisure teachers, teachers, and special educators who work closely together around the students and the educational activities. In leisure, you will have several colleagues who plan and implement varied activities for the students. You will collaborate and communicate with your colleagues and create a pedagogical learning environment that challenges and stimulates students' development and learning while ensuring that students are offered safe care.

It is important that you build a good relationship with children, guardians, and colleagues, characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach as well as positive expectations. Together with your colleagues, you are responsible for bus leisure as well as the leisure home's operations until 6:00 PM. Time for planning is available. We also have lessons at other schools where you will accompany. Work during leisure at sports, Easter, and autumn breaks takes place at Endre. During Christmas and summer breaks, we collaborate with another school in the school area where work may also take place.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is licensed or awaiting your license as a teacher in leisure home/leisure pedagogue.

It is advantageous if you have experience working in leisure homes and in school grades F-6 and experience working with practical-aesthetic subjects. It is also beneficial if you have good experience working with digital tools.

You are well-versed in the school's and leisure home's governing documents and assignments. You preferably have good experience in safety work and recess activities. Your view of children is characterized by respect and a belief that all children can and want to develop. You have high expectations for the students, and it is important for you to motivate them and work to ensure they thrive in school and in the leisure home.

About the Education and Labor Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we contribute in the Education and Labor Administration to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults. We are responsible for, among other things, preschool, primary school, leisure homes, adapted primary and secondary schools, culture schools, upper secondary and adult education, labor market initiatives, youth centers, and the reception and establishment of newcomers.
