In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Dalhem School
Dalhem School is a F-6 school with approximately 100 students. The school is located 18 km from Visby in a picturesque area with a sports hall nearby. Here, you will encounter a fantastic school where engagement, care, and safety permeate the entire operation. We are a small school with a big heart, where everyone knows each other and truly cares about the students, colleagues, and the school's common mission. Here, you will be seen, needed, and an important part of a context where we together create a safe and developing environment.
Dalhem School is part of the Roma school area, which also includes the schools Vänge, Kräklingbo, Endre, and Romaskolan. Students from these schools (excluding Romaskolan) are transported to Romaskolan for instruction in several subjects. You can expect very engaged and welcoming colleagues who will give you great opportunities to influence the operations and contribute to its continuous development. Welcome to us!
Your Responsibilities
Your main task is to work together with the other staff at the leisure center to ensure that the operations are conducted according to Lgr 22. You are responsible for ensuring that the education is varied in both guided and free activities, and that different materials and learning environments are offered and used to stimulate students' desire to play and learn. You therefore have the primary responsibility for ensuring that the teaching at the leisure center is goal-oriented. You work to promote students' social development while practically helping them achieve their knowledge goals, which you see as a natural part of everyday operations. Your duties include planning and leading break activities for students from preschool to grade 6, as well as working as a resource in the classroom.
You will be part of the team for the leisure center. Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the bus leisure program and the leisure center's operations until 6:00 PM. Time for planning is available. We also have lessons at other schools where you may accompany students. Work during sports, Easter, and autumn breaks takes place in Dalhem. During the Christmas and summer holidays, we collaborate with another school in the school area where work may also take place.
Who Are You?
You who are applying for the position are a qualified teacher in leisure education/leisure pedagogy or are awaiting your certification. As a person, you have the ability to see both the individual and the group's needs, and you should be able to create a good collaborative climate. You should enjoy working flexibly and consider students' influence important. Approachability and collaboration skills are important qualities. We are looking for someone who is solution-focused and sees opportunities in changes. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
