Teaching Art at Romaskolan

Romaskolan

Romaskolan is centrally located in Gotland, conveniently commutable from Visby with very good bus connections.

The school has approximately 350 students in grades F-9. Romaskolan is part of the Roma school area, which also includes the schools in Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre, all of which are F-6 schools. Students from these schools are transported to Romaskolan for instruction in various subjects.

Your Responsibilities

You will teach art in grades 3-6 at Romaskolan, as well as for the outer schools in the school area. As a teacher, you contribute to a positive collaborative climate in the workplace. To thrive with us, we hope you appreciate variety and can quickly adapt to changes and evolving needs. In your role, you should embody a good role model with qualities such as being engaged, secure, and a problem-solver who sees opportunities in various challenges.

You have a positive outlook and believe in each individual's desire to develop and learn. You are unpretentious and solution-focused and understand the benefits of working in a team and learning together. You have a good ability to create relationships with students, parents, and your colleagues. You have the ability to work independently and purposefully based on Lgr 22.

Who Are You?

You who are applying are a certified teacher in art or will soon receive your certification in the subject. If you also have qualifications in additional subjects, it is an advantage. You need to have a driver's license and access to your own car.

As a person, we see that you are committed to guiding students to good results and skills. We see that you are clear and structured in your pedagogical work with students. You have good planning skills and an interest in developing the operations.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About the Education and Labor Administration

As part of Region Gotland, we in the Education and Labor Administration contribute to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults.
