Teaching Handicrafts in Soft Materials

Sudret School Area
The Sudret school area consists of Garda, Havdhem, Högby, Stånga, and Öja schools.
The position involves teaching in Garda, Havdhem, Stånga, and Öja, all of which are F-6 schools.
Your Responsibilities
The position involves teaching handicrafts in soft materials. Students receive instruction in handicrafts starting from grade 3. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in accordance with Lgr22 and other governing documents. You will collaborate with the handicraft teacher in wood and metal who teaches at the same schools. You are also responsible for cooperating with colleagues, students, and guardians to create a safe and developing environment for the students. An important part of the job is to systematically follow the students' knowledge development.
You will work according to current routines for individual development plans and written assessments. You strive to create a classroom situation where all students can succeed based on their conditions. In consultation with the student health team, you will also work to ensure that relevant measures are taken for students in need of additional support. You are responsible for creating and maintaining good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
Who Are You?
A teaching certification is a requirement for permanent employment.
We are looking for someone who has the ability to lead and motivate students and create a safe and educational classroom situation, with engaged and participative students. Your leadership is characterized by clarity and structure. For the work to be successful, you need to have good collaboration skills and be relationship-building, as good relationships with both students, guardians, and colleagues are fundamental to the work. You need to be able to adapt your teaching based on results, evaluations, and the individual student's needs.
To achieve this, you need to have a good understanding of how different students absorb knowledge and the ability to adapt your teaching style both at the group and individual level. Are you one of those who want to work together with us and our students? You should have the right competencies and positive experiences of working with children. You want to collaborate with others and contribute to creating an equitable school and a good working environment. We expect you, together with other staff, to take responsibility for the students' entire study situation.

About the Education and Labor Administration
As part of Region Gotland, we contribute in the Education and Labor Administration to the learning and development of children, youth, and adults.
