In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.

Gråboskolan

Gråboskolan is a school with activities from preschool class to grade 6 and after-school care.

We have very good conditions with spacious facilities for all classes and a large schoolyard that invites play, close to the forest. The school is located in southern Visby. We have about 190 students, and our focus is to provide them with safety, well-being, and good knowledge.

Knowledge is highly valued here, and we place great emphasis on movement, health, and how we meet each other. The work with early reading instruction is prioritized. As part of this, we collaborate with Gråbobiblioteket, which is integrated into the school's premises. Together, we have developed the Reading Medal for grade 3.

Gråboskolan has about 45 employees with a well-developed student health team that works for an equitable school where all students have the best possible conditions to achieve good results. The school is multicultural - we learn from each other and take advantage of each other's differences. Your Responsibilities

You will be part of a team of engaged and competent colleagues who see that the students' entire day at school is a prerequisite for creating wholeness and safety for both students and adults. We see that you work to support students' development in their learning and to develop their social skills.

Your work as a teacher in after-school care involves planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational work in the activity based on the curriculum Lgr 22, together with other staff at the after-school care. You are responsible for ensuring that the education is varied in terms of led activities and that different materials and learning environments are offered and used to stimulate students' desire to play and learn.

In collaboration with colleagues, you create engaging learning environments from a clear and relational perspective. You see good relationships with students and guardians as the natural starting point for your work. During the school day, you are largely involved as support in the classroom.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who is licensed or is awaiting their license as a teacher in after-school care/after-school educator. Experience in educational work is an advantage. Digital competence is also an advantage, as you need to navigate digital tools to document the educational activities.

As a person, you have the ability to see both the individual and the group's needs, and you should be able to create a good collaborative climate. You should enjoy working flexibly and find it important for students to have influence. Interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate are important qualities. The after-school care complements the school both in terms of time and content by offering activities that connect to and reinforce the work with the curriculum goals.

Creative work and play are essential parts of the activity. The work requires your ability to plan and structure your tasks. It is also important that you are good at collaborating with others to achieve set goals together. Great emphasis will be placed on experience and personal suitability.
