In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
Romaskolan
We are now looking for a teacher in NO/Technology for grades 7–9 at Romaskolan.
Romaskolan is centrally located in Gotland within comfortable commuting distance from Visby with very good bus connections. The school has approximately 360 students in grades F-9.
The Roma school area also includes the schools Vänge, Kräklingbo, Dalhem, and Endre, all of which are F-6 schools. Students from these schools are transported to Romaskolan for instruction in various subjects.
Your responsibilities
Romaskolan's grades 7–9 will have 8 classes in the fall, and you will teach several grades and be part of a mentoring team for one grade. The upper secondary school also has a working group for teachers, which facilitates finding consensus on teaching, approaches, making decisions, and joint activities. All teachers also have extensive knowledge of all upper secondary students as everyone teaches in several of the school's classes.
You will conduct structured teaching based on Lgr 22, follow up and analyze your teaching and students' results. You are a clear leader in the classroom and are willing to try new approaches to continuously strive to improve your teaching. You work with high expectations and see good relationships with students and guardians as the natural starting point for your work. In collaboration with colleagues, you create engaging learning environments based on clear and low-affective leadership. You take responsibility for and participate in relevant professional development to grow in your profession.
Who are you?
We see that you, as an applicant, are a certified teacher in NO/Technology, or will soon receive certification in the subject. If you also have qualifications in other subjects, it is an advantage.
You have a positive outlook and believe in each individual's desire to develop and learn. You are unpretentious and solution-focused and understand the benefits of working in a team and learning together. You have a good ability to create relationships with students, parents, and your colleagues. You can work independently and goal-oriented based on Lgr 22. You can collaborate with the school's student health team if needed. It is also important that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances in the organization.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
