Your responsibilities
Your starting point as a teacher is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work according to the curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.
As a teacher for grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and others present in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for each student. You start from the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.
You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the organization, you utilize the experiences and knowledge of different professions.
As an educator in our educational workshop, you work with students who need special support during parts of their school day or during certain lessons each week. The support may involve explaining concepts again, providing individual instruction, or creating a calm and secure study environment where the student can work focused. Teaching takes place in smaller groups or individually, and students can be part of the program either for a temporary period or for a longer time. To ensure continuity and the right support for each student, all planning and follow-up is done in close collaboration with the regular, grading teacher.
Your workplace
Tokarpsskolan is located in Malmslätt and is a grades 7-9 school with about 360 students and 45 staff members. Here, you become part of a familial workplace with good cohesion that drives the school's development forward together. We care for each other, collaborate, and help each other. With us, you work in smaller settings with students who need special support. It is important that you enjoy this type of assignment and see the value in that different students need different solutions. You will be part of close collaboration with colleagues within the organization and work closely with other teachers at the school. Planning and follow-up are done in cooperation with the regular, grading teacher to create the best possible support for the students.

Who we are looking for
In the first instance, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with authorization to teach grades 4-9. In the second instance, we are looking for someone with a completed teacher education for grades 4-9. Alternatively, you may be at the end of your education to become a teacher for grades 4-9. It is advantageous if you have authorization to teach mathematics, English, and Swedish. Furthermore, it is advantageous if you have authorization in other theoretical subjects.
It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through internships or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.
In your role as a teacher for grades 4-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communicative skills in spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.
As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to be involved in shaping the teaching. In a quality-conscious manner, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document it. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in the community that are part of your professional role.
