Your Role

In this role, you will be part of a team of dedicated instructors who support each other. We develop and conduct familiarization courses, theoretical and practical type courses, and technical pilot courses for all Saab's flight platforms - Gripen, Saab 340/2000, 340/2000 AEW, and GlobalEye. We also provide training in Human Factors (HF), Safety Management System (SMS), and both military and civilian regulations (EASA & EMAR).

You will be prepared for the role at your own pace, with opportunities for training in areas such as pedagogy and presentation techniques. You will also have the chance to participate in courses led by your experienced colleagues to grow into the role. When you are ready to conduct your first courses, you will do so with the support of knowledgeable colleagues, and we work as a team that helps each other - even when the instructors are experienced.

The Flight Operations and Operational Training department consists of about 110 employees, and within the Training section, theoretical and practical training is provided on Saab's flight platforms. Our customers are operators both nationally and internationally, which means that the training materials are primarily in English and that courses are delivered either in Swedish or English. We train aircraft technicians, flight engineers, pilots, production staff, and other maintenance personnel. In addition to teaching, we also work on the development and creation of training materials, e-Learnings, and examination questions. Furthermore, we project manage, coordinate, and plan our various training programs.

The work primarily takes place on-site in Linköping, but travel within Sweden and internationally may occur.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, relationship-building, and self-driven. You thrive in a role where you can take significant responsibility, initiate your tasks, drive your work forward, and collaborate with others. You are a skilled communicator and enjoy speaking in front of others and sharing your knowledge and experiences. Therefore, you need to have a good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing - both in Swedish and English.

We expect you to have good computer skills and a well-developed administrative ability. You should also be a quick learner with a constant desire to continue developing, learning new things, and embracing new technology. Ideally, you have previously worked as an instructor, aircraft technician, or in education.

It is advantageous if you have experience or knowledge in:

• Aircraft maintenance and/or production
• Any of Saab's flight platforms
• Work within HF, SMS, or similar
• Education, teaching, and/or presentation techniques.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.
