Do you want to be part of a team where commitment and collaboration make a difference?

At Slestadsskolan, we build our operations on clear leadership and a warm, positive view of students. Here we work together to create a safe and stimulating everyday life for our students, all the way from the classroom to the after-school program. Welcome with your application!

Your responsibilities

The starting point for you as a teacher in the special needs group is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and value-based work based on the curriculum. You will meet students in grades 4-6 in a smaller context and will teach all subjects. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues. The special needs group is led by a teacher and a support person in close collaboration with management and the EHT.

As a teacher in the special needs group, you see the entire school day of the student as important, and therefore you collaborate with both guardians and colleagues around the student. You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and predictable teaching. The special needs group consists of up to five students who spend all or part of the day in the special needs group. You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection during both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the development of the operation, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of various professions.

We would like you to have previous experience with youth or students in need of special support

with NPF diagnoses and be comfortable having a close dialogue with guardians.

Your workplace

Welcome to us at Slestadsskolan! We are a F-6 school with about 320 students and 50 employees, beautifully located in Lambohov. Our school is housed in facilities that we share with a municipal resource school, and we have access to fantastic outdoor environments with both a large schoolyard and proximity to the local playground.

Here you will find a workplace characterized by collaboration, clear leadership, and a positive view of students. We actively work on students' safety and well-being throughout the day, and we therefore value that you see the importance of working relationally with both students and colleagues. As a teacher with us, you will be part of subject groups based on your qualifications and grade level, where we together take responsibility for developing teaching.

For younger students, there are five after-school departments at the school, while our open after-school program for grades 4-6 is run by Sportis in connection with Lambohovshallen.

Who you are

In the first instance, we are looking for someone with a teaching license with qualifications to teach grades 4-6. In the second instance, we are looking for someone with completed teacher training for grades 4-6. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher training for grades 4-6. It is advantageous if you have a broad subject qualification.

It is a requirement that you have experience working in a curriculum-driven school through internships or as an employee. It is advantageous if you have taught in grades 4-6 for at least one school year. It is also advantageous if you have experience in grading or documenting students' learning during the school year.

In your role as a teacher in grades 4-6, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other governing documents. You have good communication skills in both spoken and written Swedish. This is so that you, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), can organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher in the special needs group 4-6, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and allow them to participate in shaping the teaching.
