Your Responsibilities
As a PhD student, you will be part of the research project From Need to Solution: Co-design of Digital Work Models for Person-Centered Close Care. The project's overarching goal is to identify the support needed to ensure that digital solutions – particularly welfare technology and aids – are used in an equitable and person-centered manner within an increasingly digitized care and support context. By establishing clear routines and support structures, the project aims to optimize resource utilization for municipalities and regions while contributing to more equitable and efficient care.
As a PhD student, you will focus on your doctoral education and the research project you are part of. Your responsibilities include conducting literature searches, collecting data, writing scientific articles, and presenting and communicating research results at national and international meetings. Your work may also involve teaching or participating in other departmental assignments, up to 20% of full-time.
Your Qualifications
You have completed a master's degree or finished courses totaling at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 higher education credits at the master's level in medical science (occupational therapy, public health science, physiotherapy, nursing, etc.) or a related field, or have acquired equivalent knowledge in another way.
Furthermore, the applicant must have:
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Good ability to work independently while also being able to collaborate constructively within the research group.
Desirable qualifications include:
- Knowledge of Swedish elderly care
- Experience in welfare technology or assistive devices
Particular emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
Your Workplace
The position is located at the Department of Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Close Care (PRNV), the unit for occupational therapy, Campus Norrköping, and encompasses 100%. Within the unit for occupational therapy, established research groups conduct research on topics such as e-health, welfare technology, active aging, work rehabilitation, and instrument development. The unit also offers education in occupational therapy at the undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels.
About the Position
Upon acceptance into the doctoral program, your employment as a PhD student will be processed. Read more about the doctoral education at each faculty here.
The position is temporary for four years full-time. You will initially be employed for one year, after which the employment will be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time, based on the achieved study plan. Extension of employment up to five years may occur based on the degree of teaching and departmental assignments. In special circumstances, further extension may be granted.
Start date by agreement.
