Prolympia is Sweden's leading sports school at the primary school level, with operations from Gothenburg in the south to Umeå in the north. In August 2020, we moved to our new premises located in the area near SMHI, close to the sports hub Himmelstalund. We are pleased to offer a state-of-the-art school!

Job Responsibilities

In your role as a teacher, you will teach grades 4-6 in subjects such as mathematics and another subject, preferably English or Science. In your daily work, you will plan lessons, prepare classes, and document students' development. In addition to teaching, you will also serve as a mentor alongside two other educators in grade 4.

Opportunity for Lead Teacher Role

For the right person, there is an opportunity to take on a lead teacher role. In this role, you will have an important part in the school development work at both the school and management level. Together with the principal and colleagues, you will analyze and follow up on quality development related to teaching. The role also includes keeping up with educational research and disseminating knowledge. You will lead and be active in collegial discussions to challenge and support your colleagues in their roles.

As a lead teacher, you will be part of a network for lead teachers within Prolympia South. The purpose of the network is to promote equity and quality so that more students succeed in school.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has a degree from a teacher education program with a teaching license and the qualifications to teach students at the middle school level. A background check related to work in schools and preschools is required for employment.
