Who are we?

Tamburinens School is located in Klockaretorpet, a creative residential area filled with wonderful students who have big dreams for the future. The area is characterized by terraced houses and groves that follow one another.

Tamburinens School is a F-6 school beautifully situated where the trams turn and the oak landscape spreads out. About 260 students meet here during the days in a learning environment for life and the future. At Tamburinens School, we work in teams that follow grade levels, where staff with different qualifications, experiences, and competencies work together to support our students.

Under the guidance of teachers from the Culture School, our first-grade students receive music education. Older students can also try playing various string instruments during leisure time.

During the school year 2024-2025, we began working on creating a common value foundation, as we have recently undergone a merging process with our neighboring school. We have settled on the three guiding principles: Safety, Learning, and Responsibility. These will be important for us in our continued work moving forward.

Now we are looking for an engaged leisure teacher

Your tasks

As a leisure teacher, you have a dual role where you work both at the leisure center and participate in teaching during school hours. Your working hours will be distributed between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

In the morning/afternoon, you will work in one of our leisure center departments together with leisure teachers and other colleagues. You will jointly be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and analyzing the leisure center's activities based on current governing documents.

You will contribute to the development of the operations, spread good ideas, and adapt teaching/activities according to the needs of the students. It is important that you see and capture learning in the moment and have a good ability to plan for learning in every activity.

During school hours, you contribute the leisure pedagogical perspective to the ongoing teaching. Depending on your qualifications and competencies, you may also have your own teaching responsibilities.

You will be part of a school team where you complement each other's competencies and work together for the students' learning and safety. At the leisure center, you, along with colleagues, will be responsible for planning and following up on the operations and being part of the leisure center's pedagogical development group.

You will actively participate in the school's and team's various joint tasks where you contribute ideas and experiences. We expect you to have an open pedagogical approach and high expectations that all students can develop in their learning, as well as a focus on collaboration with colleagues.

Who are you?

We are looking for a qualified leisure teacher and would prefer that you have a focus on music. You may have experience in pedagogical work, but it is not a requirement.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and distinguish between the personal and professional. You approach children in a responsive and humble manner and adapt your communication based on whom you are meeting.

You have a good pedagogical ability and adapt yourself and your teaching according to the individual and the situation. You are collaborative and can motivate others, create engagement, and participation.

Furthermore, you easily adapt to new situations and working methods. You have a drive to suggest improvements and see challenges and difficulties as opportunities for development.

You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.
