We are looking for teachers for Björsäter school and after-school care!

Björsäter school is located in a beautiful environment surrounded by forests, lakes, and fields in the northern part of Åtvidaberg municipality. Approximately 70 students attend the school in mixed-age teaching groups, and there is also an after-school care program designed to complement the school both in terms of time and content. Our goal and focus are to work towards increased goal fulfillment and higher school attendance among students.

Your responsibilities

As a teacher in after-school care, you work both in the school and at the after-school program. During school hours, you work in the middle school, primarily in a grade 4 class, where you closely collaborate with the teaching teacher to support students throughout the school day. You collaborate with other staff regarding adaptations for students to help them achieve as much as possible based on their circumstances. During school hours, you also take on the role of playground supervisor and participate in educational meals. In the afternoons, you work at the school's after-school program, where you, together with colleagues, offer students varied activities both indoors and outdoors.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is a qualified teacher in after-school care or has other relevant education for the role, such as a teaching assistant, leisure leader, or treatment pedagog/social pedagog. You also have previous experience working with children.

To succeed in this role, we see that you have the ability to create good relationships with others by being attentive, showing empathy, and respect. You should be able to motivate others and empower them by providing advice, support, and opportunities for development. We see that you easily adapt to changing circumstances. You also have a good understanding of individuals' different conditions and how people absorb knowledge.
