Ödeshög Municipality is located in southwestern Östergötland, with Omberg to the north, Lake Vättern to the west, the fertile Östgöta plain to the east, and the deep forests of Holaveden to the south. The E4 highway runs through the municipality, allowing easy access to both Linköping and Jönköping within 40 minutes by car. Approximately 5,400 residents live in Ödeshög Municipality, which, with about 400 permanent employees across four different administrations, is the largest employer in the municipality.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you passionate about inspiring children and young people in their musical development, and do you dream of a daily life where the tranquility of the countryside combines with the proximity to urban opportunities? Then your dream job may be here in Ödeshög! We offer a unique opportunity to tailor a position as a cultural school teacher depending on which instrument groups you wish to teach, starting in the 2026/2027 school year.

Suggested setups but can be adjusted:

• Guitar and/or bass teacher at the cultural school, 30%. Immediate temporary position, with a chance for a permanent position. Alternatively, a permanent position from August 2026.
• Percussion teacher at the cultural school, 25%
• Woodwind teacher at the cultural school, 20%
• Piano teacher at the cultural school, 50%

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an engaged and passionate music educator or musician, with an educational background as a certified music teacher.

We see it as a crucial prerequisite that you have a burning interest in guiding children and young people on their musical journey. You need to be able to meet different types of people in a respectful and accommodating manner.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Ödeshög Municipality applies individual salary setting. A probationary period may be applied during the initial 6 months.
